East Village Transit Oriented Development Ground Breaking Ceremony

The US Secretary of Transportation Anthony Foxx was on hand for the ground breaking ceremony for the East Village Transit Oriented Development project in Sandy near the Sandy Civic Center TRAX station. In addition to Secretary Foxx speakers included Senate President Wayne Niederhouser, Sandy Mayor Tom Dolan, UTA Chairman H. David Burton, UTA CEO Michael Allegra, and Hamilton Partners CEO Bruce Bingham. The East Village development is a mixed-use, joint venture project between the Utah Transit Authority, Hamilton Partners and the Kachadurian Group. The project was touted as the first joint development of its kind in the country.
